About NESS

North and East Syria Solidarity (NESS) was established in September 2021 to:

  • provide support and assistance to North and East Syria (NES)
  • raise awareness about NES
  • advocate for NES’s needs and interests in Australia

NESS is an Australia-wide, member-based organisation, with membership open to anyone supporting NESS’s Purposes and agreeing to abide by its Member Code of Conduct.  Decisions are made using a consensus decision-making process.  Membership is free.

NESS has a volunteer Committee and welcomes the active involvement of all members in discussion, planning and decision-making.

NESS is a charity registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC) and an association incorporated in Victoria (A0113860I).
